Monday Properties Chief Operating Officer Jennifer Burns Honored as One of Connect CRE’s 2026 “ApartmentBuildings.com 100”

Monday Properties, a dynamic real estate investment firm and industry-leading multifamily developer, is pleased to announce that Chief Operating Officer Jennifer Burns has been selected as one of ConnectCRE’s 2026 ApartmentBuildings.com 100 in the Investors/Owners of the Year Category. This award builds upon Burns’ numerous industry accolades, recognizing both her significant impact on the real estate sector and her outstanding leadership at Monday Properties.

The ApartmentBuildings.com 100 awards honor advancement and achievement in the broadly defined multifamily space, including build-to-rent, student housing, seniors housing and mixed-use with residential. From dealmaking and development to technology and finance, the awards recognize success across deal sizes and pay tribute to innovation. Burns and other awarded Investors/Owners of the Year were selected from nominees including private investors, institutional investors, private equity and real estate investment firm leaders, REIT leaders, landlords and business users.

With more than 20 years of real estate experience and deep expertise in multifamily operations, property management and asset management, Burns has been instrumental in building Monday Properties’ multifamily platform. During the past 18 months, she has led five multifamily acquisitions totaling nearly 1,000 units, delivered a 338-unit ground-up community and advanced a growing development pipeline in high-demand markets. Collaborating across acquisitions, operations and construction, she has helped Monday Properties scale into new markets while establishing a repeatable operating model for asset integration and performance optimization.  

As one of Monday Properties’ most experienced and senior leaders, Jennifer serves as acritical link between acquisitions, development, construction, operations and asset management. Her ability to guide assets from acquisition through ongoing operations has continued the expansion and success of the firm’s multifamily platform.

This award adds to Burns’ extensive list of previous recognitions. In 2024, she was honored as one of 25 “Women Who Mean Business” by the Washington Business Journal, selected out of a competitive field of hundreds of nominations from Greater Washington’s business and nonprofit sectors. Also in 2024, Jennifer was honored as one of Connect CRE’s “Women in Real Estate” and as one of Bisnow’s “Women Leading DMV Real Estate”. She was named to GlobeSt.’s “2023 Women of Influence” list in recognition of her outstanding achievements and leadership in the real estate industry. Burns was recognized in 2020 as one of Washington Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” for determining proactive COVID-19 safety policies and procedures for Monday Properties’ tenants and employees.
