Austin Freeman

Biography

Austin oversees the firm’s real estate portfolio and corporate investment initiatives. He also serves as an influential member and chain of the firm’s Investment Committee.

Over his 30-year career, Austin has established himself as a well-rounded commercial real estate professional. He provides executive oversight with respect to implementing asset business plans for the company’s office and multifamily portfolio. He leads the firm’s efforts focused on long-term corporate initiatives, investment management and debt execution for Monday’s operating portfolio. Austin also oversees the management and execution of the company’s DMV office leasing platform.

From a corporate perspective, Austin advances and implements initiatives focused on overall profitability and revenue generating growth strategies. Austin facilitates joint venture partnership structures, investment thesis development and research, and fosters the firm’s global partner relationships.

Prior to joining Monday Properties in 2009, Austin spent 10 years with Tishman Speyer where he worked in various markets, including New York City, Boston, Virginia, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle. During his time at Tishman, Austin held leadership roles covering capital markets, global fund management and joint venture execution, asset management, financing, and office dispositions. Earlier in his career, Austin also worked at global advisory firm Arthur Anderson’s real estate consulting practice, providing institutional clientele with strategic underwriting, financial analysis, and due diligence support for large scale CMBS and large loan transactions in the hotel, multifamily and office sectors.

Austin is a graduate and received a B.S. degree from Ithaca College as well as M.S. degree in Real Estate from New York University’s Real Estate Institute.
